Charity Dingle is in for a horrifying shock this week in Emmerdale.
The Woolpack landlady – played by Emma Atkins – will be confronted by her former nemesis DI Bails when she sees him on television talking about sex abuse.
In a preview released by ITV, Charity will try to support Tracy Metcalfe through the trial of her blackmailer Phil when she gets the unpleasant shock.
When she spots Bails, who previously appeared to blackmail Charity over her past and to try and get revenge for her escaping, she seems terrified.

“Maxine Alderton, one of our most incredible writers, is writing this particular double episode and it’s a dream part, it’s wonderful.
“It’s so delicately written and beautiful.
“I’m nervous as hell – it’s not just dialogue of one line and then a response; it’s delving really deeply into someone’s history. It’ll be quite exposing, ugly and upsetting.”
