Chas has had mixed feelings about becoming a mum again since she discovered she was pregnant – her age and not always having had the best experience first time around led to her considering an abortion.
But when she saw how much Paddy wanted their baby, and when she properly considered life with a new child, the pub landlady decided it was what she wanted.
And having made the decision, she’s fully embraced it.
She and Paddy are now moving forward with their parenthood plans and next week will move in together.
Chas also has a scan booked and Paddy is excited to attend with her.
But the joy of seeing their unborn baby’s progress is tinged with some anxiety as Chase receives a diagnosis of Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
To anyone minus a medical or Latin degree, we’ll translate…
Although the eagle-eyed among you may well recognise the term from articles about Kate Middleton!
It refers to severe vomiting; something the Duchess of Cambridge has had to endure throughout her pregnancies.
So not great news for Chas, but at least she’s in very good company!
Paddy may yet regret the pair of them moving in together ahead of their little one’s arrival.
