It’s pretty fair to say that Rhona Goskirk has had something of an annus horribilis (that’s a horrible year, you mucky minds.)

She’s only recently seen her estranged husband sentenced to prison, after brutally raping her on their wedding day.
This came after a campaign of terror by evil Pierce Harris and his mum, Martha, where poor Rhona was stalked and terrorised into thinking she was losing her marbles.
And not forgetting her little trip to rehab after becoming hooked on prescription drugs again.
With all that going on, you can hardly blame Rhona for getting well and truly trollied at Pete and Leyla’s wedding next week.
The nuptials bring back some painful memories of her own traumatic wedding day and the aftermath, so Rhona hits the free bar with a vengeance.
In fact, she ends up getting so bladdered she makes a move on one of the other villagers. But who?
Well, Rhona’s ex, Vanessa Woodfield, is in the frame. Officially Just Good Friends now, Vanessa starts to worry when she sees how drunk Rhona’s getting.
She tells her friend she should go home, but Rhona doesn’t listen and ends up kissing one of the wedding guests. Could it be Vanessa?
Marlon Dingle and Paddy Kirk are another two possibilities. Both men have been involved with Rhona in the past, and both have been there to support her through her rape ordeal and court case.
To be honest though, it’s a bit snoozy to revisit any of these relationships and we much prefer Secret Option D – Cain Dingle.
It might seem unlikely but Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona, recently teased that her character and Cain (played by her IRL hubby, Jeff Hordley) will be sharing some screen time soon.
Zoe said on This Morning, a few weeks back: “There was a moment a while back when Rhona said that her one-night fantasy would be Cain.
“We’ve just shot scenes which will air in a couple of weeks, some scenes where – that doesn’t come to light – but certain things happen. So that’s quite interesting.”
Sooooo….could it be Cain who she tries to lips? And how would the Dingle bad boy react?
Hopefully, he’d do the gentlemanly thing and pop her in an Uber with a lecture about not doing something she might regret.

Whatever happens, it’s clear to see that Rhona has a long road to recovery after her ordeal and the last thing she needs is someone taking advantage of her vulnerable state.
Guess our Rhona and Cain ‘ship dreams will have to go on the back burner for a bit longer.
