He’ll go to a very dark place in upcoming episodes when he discharges himself from hospital, and becomes obsessed with finding out who attacked him.
This comes after he rages at Pete in hospital, telling him he wishes Emma had shot him instead of their little brother Finn.
Pete desperately tries to comfort him and reassures his brother that he loves him, but is left feeling increasingly worried about Ross’ mental state after his death wish.
Later, Dan stumbles across an intruder in the garage and pins him up against the wall.
He’s shocked when he removes the intruder’s hood and realises it’s Ross, who has discharged himself from hospital.
Ross then struggles with his anxiety when he realises he’s out in public and fears that everyone is staring at him.
He also leaves Cain and Debbie Dingle worried when he swears he is going to find out who attacked him.
Last night fans saw Joe’s right-hand man Graham Foster confront Cain and Debbie, telling them he knows that Debbie is responsible for what happened to Ross.
Ross was caught in the crossfire of the bitter feud between Joe Tate and the Dingles when Debbie told local drug dealer Simon to ‘mess’ Joe up.
Joe had just coldly fired Ross from Home Farm, and a vengeful Ross stole one of his cars.
In a tragic turn of events, Simon believed him to be Joe when he stepped out of the car.
