Emmerdale killed off poor Gerry Roberts last week but that wasn’t the biggest bombshell to rock the village.
After Lachlan White ended his best friend’s time on the planet with a large rock and a brief tear, he’s set to face a difficult month as he tries to cope with killing yet another person – and creating another life as girlfriend Belle is pregnant.
Lachlan’s girlfriend Belle could have realised there was something dodgy going on with him on the day he murdered Gerry but she was a little bit distracted by the fact she’s expecting.
And she broke the news just as her wrong un boyfriend looked set to confess. And the bombshells aren’t over, as Belle is set to deliver another one this week.
What could it be?!
Meanwhile, actress Eden Taylor-Draper revealed the young couple will eventually be thrilled by the discovery, though she remained mum on whether the baby could be named Gerry.
She said: “I think deep down she’s over the moon, but because of Gerry’s death, Lachlan is all over the place when she tells him.

“They decide that they are not going to keep the baby because the timing is terrible, but then a few days pass and then Lachlan realises that it’s the light he needs – and that Belle needs – so they decide to keep the baby.
“Belle is over the moon and she couldn’t be happier. I think it’s something that they both truly want at that point.”
But the pregnancy isn’t the only thing that’s going to throw Lachlan for a loop, he’s also going to have to hold it together for Gerry’s funeral and inadvertently making Doug responsible for his death.
The funeral sees the possibility of Gerry’s long lost family turning up to the village wanting answers about how he died.
And unfortunately they will want them from Doug Potts.
Laurel’s dad is wracked with guilt over what he thinks is an accident, and worse still – he could be facing a manslaughter charge after his own botched workmanship left the B&B in such a dangerous state.
There’s not only Doug at the end of his tether, Liv Flaherty is already struggling but Gerry’s death might push her over the edge after all she’s been through recently.
But while it’s unlikely Liv will cause issues for Lachlan, what with him not feeling guilt or anything, his aunt Rebecca could.
All that stands between Lachlan and prison is her fragile memory issues that have stopped her remembering how he murdered his mother and grandfather.

But could Gerry’s death shock her into remembering and bring about an end to his reign of terror?
Or could he kill again now that he’s developed a taste for it?
Spoiler fans know there’s going to be a shooting this week as Ross Barton discovers the truth about the acid attack and goes to Joe Tate’s Home Farm with a gun.
But that’s not to say he shoots anyone, and Lachlan could definitely strike again to protect his secrets.
