Cain Dingle’s world will be rocked this week when he hears from his mum, Faith, that Moira Barton is planning on leaving the village.
Moira’s been a mess since giving birth to baby Isaac and subsequently killing her rival, Emma Barton, which she admitted to Cain in dramatic scenes last month.
Things have got even more intense for the farmer as – last week – she revealed her guilty secret to Emma’s sons, Pete and Ross.
The boys reacted predictably badly, with Ross in particular lashing out after hearing the truth.
When Faith starts pressuring Moira into redecorating Holly’s room and giving it to Isaac, the new mum has had about enough and tells Faith she can’t stay in the village as it’s stopping her from moving on from Holly.
Horrified that Moira might do a runner with Isaac, Faith heads off to tell Cain Moira’s plans.
Cain storms round to Butler’s Farm where he pleads with her to stay.
But can a determined Moira be swayed?
Jeff Hordley, who plays the Dingle bad lad, dropped a few major hints about the future of Coira in a recent interview.
Speaking to Radio Times, he revealed that he thinks the star-crossed pair should be together and that Moira makes him act like no other woman can.
Jeff said: “I think Cain and Moira work really well together. There is a strong bond there and she makes him act like no other woman can.
“She grounds him and makes him a better person.”
That doesn’t sound like Moira can really be leaving, does it?
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV
