Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has warned that the storyline featuring her on-screen daughter Gabby Thomas and best friend Liv Flaherty spike Lisa Dingle’s drink with ketamine is going to take a dark twist.

Speaking to The Sun the actress who plays Bernice Blackstock in the ITV soap revealed: “I think the girls are just bad for each other.
“I don’t think it’s anything really, really malicious. I think Gabby’s been quite spoiled and allowed to get away with different things but it’s going to get quite serious. It goes to court.
“I think it’s always a bit of a tricky one because it’s a fine line but I think this is a story that shows there is no happy ending when it comes to drugs.”
Scenes this week showed a vengeful Gabby swipe the tranquiliser from vet Vanessa Woodfield’s bag as she plotted to slip into Bernice’s boyfriend, Daz Spencer’s, drink after he refused to buy her booze for a party.
The scheme went badly wrong when Liv dropped the drug into Daz’s pint, only for it to be downed by Lisa.
The Dingle matriarch was then seen feeling woozy before being rushed to hospital where she suffered a heart attack while the rest of the Dingles watched on in horror.
Luckily, Lisa seemed to pull through last night but when doctors found traces of ketamine in Lisa’s system, the girls knew they were in trouble.

Gabby stepped up and took to wrap, but in scenes tonight, Liv’s secret will come out and will ultimately divide the Dingles when one of them calls the police on the wayward teen.
