In last night’s episode, Joe frantically offered Simon £100k to keep Debbie’s name out of matters when the police raided his home and arrested him on suspicion of GBH.
And tonight viewers will see he wasn’t acting to protect the woman he previously dated and dumped in a bid to get revenge on her mother Charity for killing his dad.
Anyone who thought Joe was doing it to be kind was very wrong and the sinister truth will be exposed as he blackmails Debbie into getting back with him.
Not wanting the truth to come out and hurt Ross even more than he already is, Debbie will feel she has no choice but to go along with Joe’s twisted plan.
Joe was left shaken when he found out from Simon that he was supposed to be on the receiving end of the attack and tonight he’ll confront her about it.
It’s not clear if Joe wants Debbie back for genuine reasons – if so, has he ever thought of sending flowers? – or if it’s part of a longer-term revenge plan.
