The cobbles killer finally makes his return to Coronation Street next week as he plans to get final revenge on those who have wronged him.
And, let’s face it, Pat Phelan’s list of enemies is a pretty long one. We don’t yet know if he claims another life, or if he lives to tell the tale himself.
What we do know is that the week of late night specials is going to be explosive – here’s what we know so far…
Gary holds him hostage at the builder’s yard
Phelan ends up back in Weatherfield because Gary ‘Brain of Britain’ Windass thinks it’s a good idea to bring him back there. We’re not totally sure why, but it’s probably got something to do with getting him to ‘fess up and get Anna Windass out of prison.
Anyway, clever Gary ties him up in the builder’s yard. Unfortunately his great plan is scuppered when Jack Webster happens upon him and Phelan – as charming and manipulative as ever – bribes him to untie him.
He crashes the wedding
Michelle wonders if the wedding is cursed early in the week and she really could be onto something. It’s not every day your nuptials is sabotaged by a twisted serial killer with an axe to grind (or a gun to shoot.)
Reports suggest that Michelle could find herself the next victim of the murdering builder – and judging from the new pics, it’s looking very likely.
He holds Sarah and Gary hostage
In a very questionable move Gary decides to bring Phelan back to Weatherfield – WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, LAD? – this obviously backfires spectacularly when he gets free and turns the tables on Gaz and Sarah. Will they make it out alive?
We have a lot of love for Gary Windass, but seriously, why would he do this? WHY??
He comes face to face with Eileen (and Nicola)
One he’s broken free from the builder’s yard, Pat’s first point of call is to pay his wife and daughter a nice little visit. Except they’re really not thrilled to see him. Probably because he’s got a gun.
Someone is shot at no.11 which leads Phelan to the Bistro where he seeks out Ali Neeson to administer first aid on someone…
There’s siege at the Bistro
Sure enough when Pat crashes the wedding, all hell breaks loose and he ends up locking himself in the kitchen with a hostage, while the police surround the place.
Will everyone make it out alive? And we include Phelan himself in that.
