This week, our favourite shows – Loose Women, This Morning, Good Morning Britain and Lorraine – are all moving house. Here’s everything you need to know about ITV’s big move.

The shows are currently based at The South Bank Studios, just a five minute walk from London’s Waterloo station and just behind The Royal National Theatre.

The 24 storey building is the home of ITV, and offers stunning views over London.

But as their ‘Studio 8’ undergoes a huge refurbishment, all of the shows and their stars are upping and leaving to a new, temporary location within the BBC building in London’s White City.

Although the move is temporary, the refurb is set to take a whopping five years, so it’s no short term fix.

An ITV spokesperson said the makeover is set to create, “A purpose-built HQ on our South Bank site, bringing together all of our London-based stuff in one location for the first time.”

Unfortunately, it’s predicted the move could see 140 job losses.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and the Graham Norton show will also be moving to the new building, located next to The Royal College of Art.

All of the cast and crew have been embracing the new move, but there’s been some nostalgia and sadness thrown into the mix as they say goodbye to the home of some of the UK’s top shows for 40 years.

This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield filmed their last show on March 29th, and Holly posted a picture with her co-star as they take their final look out at the view from the studio.

“Well…we’re going to miss this view! Bye for now @itvstudios thanks for having us. See you when the builders move out!” she wrote.

Fern Britton also called the show’s phone-in line, telling Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, “Over the last ten years, we’ve just had so much fun. We’ve been talking on Twitter today about all sorts of hilarious things.

We just had a ball. All of the Prime Minister’s that came in and out. But my wrinkles can’t take early morning TV anymore.”

Asking Eamonn for a favour, she added, “Can I just have one thing from the set?”

“Do you want Phil Vickery?” Ruth quipped about Fern’s TV chef husband.

“Yes, I’ll take the chef. No, the pink chair just behind you,” she asked, sending Eamonn on a wild goose chase around the studio.

“I love you – enjoy your move and I look forward to seeing where you are on Monday,” she added.

Eamonn also did his own spoof with co-stars Alison Hammond and Rylan Clark when, dressed as a bouncer, he told them, “If your name isn’t on the list, you’re not coming in.”

Rylan, acting as a removal man quipped, “Do you know what then? Sort yourself out. This is why I left in the place!”
