Emmerdale fans have begun questioning the police investigation into Emma Barton’s death.
But it’s not just the ineptitude of the officers leading the investigation that is bothering them (though that is something they’ve picked up on), it’s the fact the female police officer is always there, but NEVER speaks!
As the police continue to investigate who killed Emma by pushing her off the viaduct, they spent most of tonight stalking Adam Barton.

They were keen to investigate his tyres and why he’d had all four changed since Emma’s death.
Cain obviously suspected something because he ended up driving the old tyres away and burying them so the police couldn’t find them. Does he think Adam did it?
When the cops arrived later in the episode with a warrant to search the scrapyard and impound Adam’s car, it looked like they were about to peg their man.
And it turns out Adam is hiding something – but so are all of the suspects!
In a series of very brief flashbacks we saw that nearly all of the suspects – Moira, Laurel, Pete, Adam, Cain, and Ross, either confronted or saw Emma the night she died. Gabby, who was accused last night, interestingly wasn’t shown.
Ross and Pete were both seen getting violent with her, and Adam was the one who had her suicide note. Was it enough to make him kill her?
The police certainly seem to think he’s their man, but fans weren’t all that fussed about who the cops thought did it, rather than the way they were running the investigation.
And the fact the police woman never opens her mouth, despite her colleague going in like a bull in a china shop!
However, low and behold, but the end of the episode, she spoke!
After Gerry’s dodgy fireworks caused an almighty display, she was the one who phoned the station to get more police down their.
Fans were thrilled she’d found her voice.
