One of the waitresses from hit Channel 4 dating show First Dates has just announced an exciting career change.
Laura Nicole Tott, 24, took to Twitter to reveal she’s fulfilled a life-long dream of becoming a paramedic, having just recently qualified.
She told her 46.9k followers she’s super nervous about the new job and reassured fans of the show she’ll still be serving the hopefuls at Paternoster Chop House.
I DID IT! I’m a registered paramedic. Tonight marks my first shift as a paramedic. Wanted to do this for as long as I can remember. Never been so excited/nervous 🚑 And yes of course I’ll still be doing First Dates 💃🏼 pic.twitter.com/2u2q9hzZz1

Laura tweeted: “I DID IT! I’m a registered paramedic. Tonight marks my first shift as a paramedic.
“Wanted to do this for as long as I can remember. Never been so excited/nervous. And yes of course I’ll still be doing First Dates.”
Her followers rushed to congratulate her on the new gig.
One replied: “Congratulations Laura. Awesome achievement! So much respect for anyone who does the role of any of the emergency services! I’m sure it will bring plenty of challenges but if you’ve got to this point I’m sure you will smash it #GoodLuck.”
Someone else joked: “I’d happily chuck myself under a bus if you could guarantee that you’d be first paramedic on scene… #lovely.”
A third told her: “Well done Laura! Your beautiful face and charming personality as well as your skills will certainly have people on the mend! Good luck.”
Last month, Laura’s rescue dog Lucy was shot dead during a walk.
The telly waitress posted a heartbreaking message about the incident on Instagram, telling the pooch she was “the best thing that’s ever happened to me”.

First Dates returned to Channel 4 for a new series earlier this week.
In the opening episode, two of the hopefuls brought together for a date realised they already knew each other.
Georgia and Georgia greeted one another with an awkward hug and when a waiter asked about their connection, one of them revealed: “She kind of dated my niece. My sister’s 40.”

The other Georgia, who brushed it off as just a “thing” rather than actual dating, fell for a rather cruel prank later in the show.
Her date gave her a scratchcard (not weird at all) and when she rubbed it, she found it was a £100,000 winner. But it turned out to be fake.
