Former Corrie star Hayley Tamaddon has admitted that she wasn’t ready to leave the ITV soap when she did.
The actress explained: “You don’t massively get a choice.”
Hayley, now 41, portrayed Andrea Beckett for two years between 2013 and 2015, and wishes it had been longer…
In an interview with The Express, she hints that she’d be back in a flash it they asked her.

She said: “You don’t massively get a choice a lot of the time. It’s massively to do with your character, where they want your character to go.
“For Corrie, Craig Charles was leaving anyway, so they were like, ‘Well, you’re a couple so it would be good if you go together and we will make it that you leave in a live episode’, so that it would be a big leaving thing. And it was. It was incredible.”
Hayley, who also starred as Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale between 2005 and 2007, adds: “I wasn’t ready to leave. They were like my family. But it’s weird because I live so close to them so I see them all the time, it kind of doesn’t feel like I’ve left.
“I never say never to anything like that [going back to the soap]. If I got asked, I would definitely consider it.”

Hayley left alongside on-screen beau Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) during a live episode.
She starred in 2010’s Dancing On Ice, which she won with Daniel Whiston, and would now love to try out Strictly.
