Former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold is moving from the small screen to the big screen

This soap star is moving into movies

EastEnders Danielle Harold is hoping to take Hollywood by storm after landing several new film roles.

The actress played Lola Pearce for four years before quitting in July 2015 and now she’s making her move from TV to the big screen.

Since leaving the BBC1 soap three years ago,  Danielle has remained relatively low profile until being cast in the new movies.

She’s set to star in Monster, alongside former Coronation Street star Tracey Shaw (Maxine Peacock) as well as shooting Innocent Candy alongside fellow EastEnders star, John Altman who played Nasty Nick Cotton, and Blue singer Anthony Costa.

She Tweeted her excitement about to Skegness to film Innocent Candy saying: “Can’t wait to work with you guys!”

The 25-year-old is set to be seen on screen in Dead Ringer this year too.

Danielle’s character, Lola caused mayhem when she joined Albert Square in July 2011. She played the granddaughter of Billy Mitchell played by Perry Fenwick and Julie Perkins played by Cathy Murphy.

Lola fell pregnant at 15 after a one night stand with Ben Mitchell and she acted out dramatic labour scenes in the live episode in 2012. She fought hard to look after her daughter and keep her out of care.

The door was left open for her character’s return when she left the show and she hinted previously she would be interested in coming back.

Speaking to OK! Online, when asked if she would ever want Lola back on our screens, she said: “Yeah, always. I’d never say never. I loved EastEnders. I loved working there, it was a brilliant place to work. But I’m really enjoying doing other stuff.

“I was there for four years playing Lola so to play a different character now is brilliant and I’m really enjoying it.”
