Former EastEnders star stuns in vintage wedding gown

She looks a lot different to how we remember her

When it comes to soap-star weddings, we’ve been spoilt this year with both Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas and EastEnders’ Jacqueline Jossa marrying their respective partners in lavish, star-studded ceremonies.

And now we’ve got another one for you. You might have to rack your brains a little bit, but do you recall a character in Albert Square a few years ago called Jodie Gold?

The daughter of Vanessa Gold (Zoe Lucker) and the love interest of Darren Miller, she was known for her bright-pink cardigans and ‘ditzy blonde’ personality.

Well, the actress who played her, Kylie Babbington, has just posted pictures of her big day on Instagram, and she looks absolutely amazing…

The Londoner, 29, tied the knot with her partner, tattoo artist Jimi Lynch, at an intimate ceremony in Brighton over the weekend.

And the happy bride looked absolutely stunning in a figure-hugging, vintage strapless dress that trailed, princess-style, along the floor behind her.

Behind the veil she wore for the ceremony, she wore bright red lipstick, and to complete the vintage look she tied her now-dark hair back to reveal gleaming diamond earrings.

After exchanging their vows, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a reception at a local pub.

Fans were clearly impressed when they saw the Instagram snaps. One told the star, who left EastEnders in 2011: “You look so beautiful! Congratulations on your marriage xx.”

Another gushed: “You look fabulous, utterly gorgeous.”

But the sweetest tribute came from the groom (which is exactly how it should be).

Jimi later posted a message on Instagram, saying: “What an amazing night when I got to make @lababbette my smoking-hot wife and party with all my favourite people in the world.

“Happiest day of my life, and massive love to all the family and friends that came to celebrate.”

We wonder what Darren Miller (Charlie G Hawkins) would make of it all. He was all set to marry Jodie all those years ago but blew his chance.

After having sex with her friend and bridesmaid Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa, co-incidentally) in a parking lot, he told her he wasn’t worthy of being her husband and promptly fled Walford.

No doubt if he saw these pictures, he’d be regretting that decision…
