If you’ve ever wondered how the Strictly judges decide who gets a “ten from Len” or a “Sev-en!” think no more.
Jeremy Vine has let slip some telly secrets.
The lanky broadcaster was on Lorraine today and said that he had discovered that there were certain things the judges looked at when considering a score.

He said that if Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood discovered that a celeb had missed a rehearsal, that would be one black mark against their name.
“I think the judges get information on how many hours you’ve done during the week,” he revealed.
“You can’t just skip rehearsals and go out for lunch all the time.
“If they find out they are not impressed.”
Of course, we reckon if the stars are rubbish that might work against them too!
Jeremy has advised this year’s batch of stars that if they want to succeed then they need to knuckle down and get serious and cut out other work.
The BBC star also expressed his surprise that he managed to hang in on the show for so long.
“How I stayed for eight weeks I have no idea,” he told Lorraine.
“At the very end when I was eliminated it was watched by eleven million people and it’s a Sunday night show which is amazing.
He also revealed that he managed to persuade Ed Balls to perform the now legendary Gangnam Style routine.

“Ed called me up and said ‘Should I do it?’ And I said ‘yes’.
“My wife said it was bad advice because he’s a politician and needs to be taken seriously but it worked out because he really went for it.”
