Ah, there’s so much to enjoy about Christmas – endless supplies of chocolates, the chance to catch up with loved ones and of course, loads of Christmas telly!
Like most people, we’ve loved French and Saunders’ parodies over the years, from their hilarious take on Titanic to “Harry Potter And The Secret Chamberpot Of Azerbaijan”.
And the latest is sure to be just as hilarious as the ones that have come before.
The comedy titans are set to unleash “300 Years of French and Saunders” on Christmas Day, which will include a rib-tickling parody of period drama Poldark.
We’re expecting lots of topless hunks hanging around in fields!
Eleanor Tomlinson will reprise her role as as Demelza in the parody, appearing alongside Jack Farthing as George Warlegga.

Exactly where French and Saunders themselves fit in is to be revealed, but we’re excited to find out!
300 Years of French and Saunders celebrates 30 years of the duo’s sketch show, when the pair toppled the male-dominated comedy scene in the mid 1980s.
The comedy special is also due to include a spoof of cult Channel 4 hit Gogglebox, and according to Radio Times will also feature an appearance from Jennifer Saunders’ other partner-in-comedy, Joanna Lumley.
Apparently it “will also feature the duo’s greatest skits, never-before-seen footage and new sketches.”
Dawn French told The Times about some other fun to expect as well, saying: “There’s some Handmaid’s Tale in there. We had fun with some of the costumes.”
Seeing as the real Poldark won’t be returning to our screens until next summer, this will more than tide us over!
