Gemma Collins forgives Jason Gardiner over DOI spat

She said she "can't be bothered to keep any ill-feeling going on"

Gemma Collins has forgiven Jason Gardiner over their Dancing On Ice spat.

The TOWIE star was embroiled in a row with the judge as she accused him of “selling stories” about her – something he denied – before he branded her a “brat”.

However, in a new interview with The Sun, Gemma said she’s forgiven Jason because she “can’t be bothered to keep any ill-feeling going on”.

She told the publication: “I can’t be bothered to keep any ill-feeling going on, I just end up being as bad as them.

“So as far as I’m concerned, I’ve just got to keep putting the love out there. You get more done with honey than you do with vinegar.”

Speaking about her row with Jason, Gemma added: “I’ve never spent longer than ten minutes with him so I just felt calling me a ‘brat’ was really unfair and he was hurtful. He doesn’t attack the other contestants.

“We never see Jason backstage. That’s why I was so shocked when he was saying what he was saying because I’ve only ever met him twice.”

Gemma also said she “didn’t like” Jason’s comments about her not doing “big lifts” on the show as she felt that was “regarding my weight”.

On the show, Jason was criticising Gemma’s performance as he told her: “I know you were channelling Marilyn Monroe.

“But you were all over the place hun. We’re not going to see big lifts from you.”

Before he could continue, she interjected and accused him of “selling stories” about her.

Jason then reacted by telling her “this doesn’t help your cause” before calling her a “brat”.

Following Gemma’s allegation about Jason, the journalist at the centre of the “selling stories” storm cleared things up on Twitter, saying Jason was “simply giving his honest opinion”.

Jason, 47, replied: “Being wrongly accused of ‘selling stories’ was a blatant attempt to defame my character.

“I know you didn’t have to make this statement but hopefully now people will wake up & stop believing the BS that come out of @missgemcollins gob (sic).”
