Kate Garraway amused Good Morning Britain fans today as she asked Richard Madeley, “what’s it like to be a Dick?”.
On Wednesday’s show, the presenter couldn’t resist but make the jibe as Richard said he takes no notice of the rude play on his name.
It came after UKIP leader Richard Braine revealed that people call him “dickbrain”.

Richard explained: “Well listen, I’m called Richard which is often shortened to Dick.
“And many of you call me Dick. But at least I’m not called, well I am sometimes called Dick Brain.”
Kate then asked: “What is it like to be a Dick? Is it tough in life?”
Richard replied: “Well basically after a lifetime of being a Dick, you adapt to it.
“You know, my own daughter calls me Dickie, which is a softening, and you adapt to it.”

He added: “So Mr Braine, I don’t know how old you are Mr Braine but really, get over yourself. Really, it’s just a joke. Grow up man.”
Kate joked: “Think about the gags!”
Viewers were in hysterics over Kate’s choice of words and shared their laughter on Twitter.
One person said: “Kate you’re a legend,” followed by laughing face emojis.

Richard is filling in for Piers Morgan while Kate is standing in for Susanna Reid.
Piers and Susanna are enjoying their six-week summer break and will return to the daytime show in September.
