Fans of Gogglebox star Tom Malone Snr have shared their concerns after learning about his recent hospitalisation.
Tom’s wife, Julie, took to Instagram last night (February 4) to post a photo of her husband lying in a hospital bed.
The picture shows Tom Snr with a dressing on his shoulder, after apparently waking up from an operation.

The picture sees Tom Snr lying in a hospital bed looking down at a nappy dressing placed over his wound.
He captioned the post: “Woke up with a nappy as a dressing, was caught off guard when the nurse said she had to change my nappy! Grateful to our NHS. Top-notch care. Thank you.”

Fans offer support
The cause of his shoulder injury wasn’t revealed, but fans have wished Tom a speedy recovery.
Fellow Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley, wrote: “Get well soon mate. Love, Dave and Shirley xx.”
One fan wrote: “Hope you are okay – get well soon.” Another added: “What happened to you? Looks painful. Get well soon.” Another echoed the same thoughts and said: “Can you let us all know what you have had done please. A pic without any explanation is no good.”
Others tried to explain to Tom Snr that the use of nappies as a dressing is pretty normal. One commented: “I had a subacromial decompression on both my shoulders and they put nappies on after surgery.”
Another said: “I’ve had both my arms done, both dressed with nappies. Look after yourself and do your exercises,” they added.

The Malones on Gogglebox
Tom Snr and his family have appeared on Gogglebox since 2014. The couple’s three children – Shaun, Tom Jnr and Vanessa – have also been featured in the show.
Tom Jnr left the show in 2021, while Vanessa makes occasional on-screen appearances with her children.
Aside from being seen regularly on Gogglebox, Julie and Tom were recently in the news for getting caught up in a hurricane in Jamaica. However, the couple was able to make it back home safely from their Caribbean holiday.
