It’s going to be dramatic in Holby City tonight when the hospital is hit with an influx of patients.
The AAU is busier than usual when a gang fight breaks out on one of Holby’s infamous estates on top of a winter crisis.
While the department is overwhelmed, Ric Griffin keeps fighting for his patients despite being overworked and exhausted.
He struggles to keep on top of the crisis; feeling the pressure rising he begins to wonder if people think he’s too old for the job.
As the staff of the AAU are dealing with an urgent case, another patient is brought in with life-threatening injuries.
The team is forced to prioritise and Ric reaches breaking point.
Meanwhile Frieda, still struck with grief, ignores advice and throws herself into her work much to the concern of Jac and Fletch.
Freida hasn’t been sleeping and when an argument with a patient’s confrontational father rises, Jac has to intervene.
She finally has to face her feelings about the loss of Roman with help from someone unexpected.
