Holly Willoughby in hysterics over Phillip Schofield’s sweary and embarrassing This Morning blunder

They can't get through one day without silliness

Monday’s This Morning descended into giggles yet again, when presenter Phillip Schofield accidentally swore live on air.

Barely a few minutes into the show, while trying to introduce an interview with Fifty Shades Darker star, Rita Ora, Phil, 55, attempted to say: “Get ready to dig out your duct tape.”

Instead, he awkwardly replaced the ‘g’ in dig, with a ‘ck’, inviting viewers to do something fairly rude.

His co-presenter, Holly Willoughby, 36, burst out laughing, telling Phil: “That might be your best one yet. What were you saying?”

Phil bent double, laughing, as Holly added: “I’m just so happy it’s not me.”

The giggly pair tried to get things back on track, as Phil added: “Oh man, it’s a Monday. It’s only twenty-five to eleven. I don’t do many of those.”

He tried the line from the autocue again, this time getting it right, but Holly couldn’t stop laughing as she said: “I think I preferred it the first time.”

She then added: “Don’t be saying that in front of Rita.”

As ever, viewers loved the award-winning presenters’ blunders, rushing to comment on Twitter.

One wrote: “Hahahaha! @Schofe just slipping up literally 5 minutes into the show. Amazing! Monday made! #ThisMorning.”

Another added: “@Schofe getting his [bleep] out on @thismorning ? Alright then #ThisMorning.”

A third tweeted: “@Schofe Oh Phil! It’s too early! #ducttape #ThisMorning @thismorning.”

This latest silliness comes just a few days after the pair got the giggles during a rum tasting – just hours before they were due to interview Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Mum of three Holly worried: “Rum seems stronger than I remember it. Maybe it’s because I never start a night out on rum!”

She added: “We’ll be fine. We are very professional.”

Dad of two, Phillip agreed, saying: “We will just have a sip.”

And if nothing else went right, at least Holly’s look today was flawless.

Her 3.3 million followers loved the look, commenting: “I’ll be searching every high street store for a replica!! I need her wardrobe”. And: “You look fantastic, Holly!”

Even when she can’t stop laughing, Holly still looks great.
