Holly Willoughby’s fans love to emulate her stylish looks but some were baffled by her jumper choice on today’s This Morning.
Some were confused by the French slogan on her yellow top while others were stunned when they discovered the garment’s high price-tag.
The TV presenter wore the jumper with the slogan “peut-etre” emblazoned on the front on today’s show, teamed with a black skirt, tights and ankle boots.
While many This Morning viewers praised the look, others wondered what the message on the front could mean.
“Is that welsh for come here?” one viewer asked on Twitter. Another wondered if it was “a designer brand?”
A third viewer tweeted the programme’s Twitter account to say: “Great Show as usual! What do the words on Holly’s Jumper mean please?”
Another decided to find out for themselves by putting it into Google Translate, sharing a video of themselves in the process.
“When you want to find out what Holly’s jumper means!” they captioned the clip, which revealed it was French for “perhaps” according to the online translator.
Holly shared a picture of herself wearing the outfit on Instagram, revealing the jumper is from Chinti and Parker.
She wrote: “Baby it’s cold outside… today’s look on @thismorning skirt by @topshop knitwear by @chintiandparker and boots by @topshop”
According to the Chinti and Parker, the phrase means “maybe” in French and they chose it to “tap into the season’s flirty French mood.”
Holly’s dedicated followers of her fashion were then stunned when they saw how much the jumper cost – £295.
One wrote: “Thought Holly’s yellow jumper was cute on This Morning, had a wee look for it nearly 300 pounds hahahah!!! oh no way love, knock off a zero and I’ll buy it in Zara cheers.”
Another wrote: “Loving the yellow jumper Holly, bringing a bit of sunshine but the price no way would I pay that unbelievable.”
A third wrote they were “loving the French top but just seen the price” with a shocked face emoji.
Extra viewers tuned into see Holly and Phillip Schofield present today’s show thanks to being snowed in.
Numerous people shared their snow day pics as schools across the UK were closed and many struggled to get to work due to transport problems.
Holly revealed her three children – Harry, eight, Belle, six, and Chester, three – were also tuning in as their school had shut due to the weather.
She said: “We’ve got three special viewers watching for the very first time today.
