We'll be seeing a lot more of him in the village

Adam – who previously starred in Coronation Street – has played Kyle Kelly in the C4 soap since last year but has so far only been a guest role, popping in and out and causing trouble.

But Hollyoaks confirmed Kyle’s here to stay as they included him in the opening credits, marking him as a full-blown regular.

Yay.

Adam himself seemed delighted by the news, tweeting: “I’m official #Hollyoaks …proper Chester boy now!”

Adam’s fans quickly hit him up with messages of congratulations.

“Congrats you’re fab,” gushed one fan.

Another said: “This is wonderful Adam! Really happy for ya. You’re a great actor and Kyle is my favourite character.”

A third made a joke about Adam being replaced as Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street by Ben Price, cheekily commenting: “Fantastic. Fab gig. Careful though that your character doesn’t leave after a couple of years, comes back a bit then you get replaced by someone playing him who is 6 years older than you!!”

Since arriving in Hollyoaks Kyle has caused quite a bit of trouble for the locals.

He had a steamy fling with Ryan Knight (Duncan James) which ultimately led to him killing his wife Amy when she discovered he’d been having a gay affair.

Kyle also got Darren Osborne into trouble by getting him into drug dealing.

We can’t wait to see what other trouble he’ll be causing.
