Hollyoaks actress Rachel Adedeji has announced the birth of her first child, who apparently couldn’t wait to enter the world!
The tot arrived a week early, according to the soap star’s social media post, but was a very bonny 81bs 14oz on arrival!
There’s no indication as to the gender of the baby – it is dressed in neutral grey in its debut snap.
Are we to suspect we’ll have to wait for that reveal, along with the name, in Hello or OK! magazine?
We’ll happily make do with the adorable pic of those nibblesome toes for now!
Rachel, 25, who found fame on The X Factor, announced her pregnancy on social media, when she was already quite advanced.
She and husband Jason Finnegan got married in Buckinghamshire two years ago and the pair said at the time they were “overjoyed” to be starting a family.
“We can’t wait to be parents,” Rachel told Closer.
After her stint on The X Factor, Rachel landed a role in Holloaks as Lisa Loveday, and she praised the team there for being “brilliant” at helping her to disguise her pregnancy on set.
“Lisa is a very vibrant character and doesn’t wear many clothes,” she laughed.
“But the team has been brilliant in allowing new clothes to fit Lisa’s personality.
“Instead of hot pants and a bra, it’s hot pants and a loose top!”
Rachel is the latest Hollyoaks star to have a baby, following Jennifer and Chelsee Healey who both became first-time mums this year.
Jen welcomed her little one Daye with her partner Greg Lake in June and Chelsee Healey gave birth to little Coco in July.
Rachel said: “Jen has been amazing – I couldn’t ask for a better friend. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I was like, ‘Jen, what do I do?!'”
“She’s an amazing mum and seeing her and Greg with Daye is just adorable.
“We’ve been talking about holidaying together once my baby arrives.”
Aww, congrats, Rachel and Jason!
