How did Mark Labbett lose weight?
Mark has appeared on ITV game show The Chase since 2009.
His career has gone from strength to strength and he now also stars in a US version of the show and Beat The Chasers.
Away from the cameras, Mark has also undergone a dramatic transformation sparked by health issues.
The brain-box was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017, which came as a shock.
Mark vowed then to overhaul his lifestyle and get in shape in a bid to improve his health.
Following his diabetes diagnosis, Mark completely switched his attitude towards food and fitness.
First, the star, who has one child with his ex-wife Katie, upped the exercise with the help of his golden retriever.
He then made a big change to his diet – cutting right down on sugar.
Mark also started eating three sensible meals a day, as he had been guilty of skipping breakfast.
Complete lifestyle change
In June this year, Mark confirmed in an Instagram post that he had lost close to 10st, bringing his weight to under 20st.
He admitted: “I completely changed my lifestyle around when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017.
“Since then I have prioritised my overall health and fitness and have been on a real life weight loss journey, losing nearly 10st since my diagnosis.
“I’ve become much more physically active by going on walks with my dog and mindful about my sugar intake to help manage my diabetes, and I have also started eating breakfast which I never did before!
“I’m now at the point, whenever I am home, of sitting down with my son, eating breakfast and starting the day well.”
Mark’s body has certainly thanked him for getting fit.
