Speaking to The Express, Charlie said: “I’ve been doing quite a lot of stage which I’ve loved and sort of really focusing on your craft. I find it really challenging and very rewarding.
“I’ve always wanted to do more stage and I’ve had three years of nothing but stage so I’m ready to venture back into TV should the opportunity arise.”
And when asked about the possibility of making a return to the East End, she added: “Never say never. There’s a lot of people coming back at the moment! It’s definitely something I would think about in the future.
“Who knows what the future will bring? I really don’t know.”
Janine was last seen heading off to Paris with daughter Scarlett after being cleared of murdering Michael Moon.
There’s been a batch of big comebacks on the Square recently with Tamzin Outhwaite, Jessie Wallace, Leila Morse and Gillian Wright returning.
It’s also rumoured that Shane Richie will be popping up again as Alfie Moon – Michael’s cousin – in the not too distant future, although this hasn’t been confirmed by the soap.
During her time on the Square, Janine had feuds with most of the locals – including Stacey Fowler who went on the run when Janine framed her for attempted murder.

She also befriended Whitney Dean in order to pimp her out.
Janine is often cited as being one of the BBC One soap’s best villains.
