I’m A Celebrity fans were gutted when Ant McPartlin announced he would not be co-hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! this year.
Obviously wishing him well on his journey of rehabilitation, they knew the popular ITV show just wouldn’t be the same without him by the side of best friend Declan Donnelly.

And while Holly Willoughby has definitely won fans over, there are many who still miss the cheeky banter between Geordie duo Ant and Dec.
However, it’s now been revealed that Ant might have a hand in the current series after all…
A fellow ITV presenter has claimed that Ant has been scripting jokes for both Dec and Holly all along!

ITV presenter Emma Jesson, who is best known for forecasting the weather on ITV, has claimed that Ant has been involved with the show the whole time, despite taking a year off.
On Wednesday (28 November), Emma told her 11,700 Twitter followers that Ant is still very much involved in scripting live TV links between Dec and temporary replacement Holly.
She wrote: “I am informed that Ant was consulted for scripted Holly & Dec links for @imacelebrity series 2018.
“Top move production team if this is the case, can see his hallmarks there.”

We hope Emma didn’t get in trouble for spilling this nugget of insider gossip, as ITV have not confirmed this news themselves!
Earlier this year, TV fans were shocked when Ant received a 20-month driving ban and was fined £86,000 after pleading guilty to driving whilst more than twice over the legal limit.
Amidst the break-up of his marriage and start of a new relationship, Ant has stepped out of the spotlight to concentrate on getting clean.
In a statement, he said: “My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.
“I’d like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.”
After Dec travelled to the Australian jungle without his mate, some fans declared they don’t want Ant to come back – saying they prefer Holly!
But others believe the banter is missing between Holly and Dec.
Earlier this month, we reported that Ant had also helped choose Holly as his replacement.
