The two actors, who play David Platt and Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, are sharing a central Manchester pad with another actor, Freddie Bolt.
Jack announced the news by posting a pic on Instagram with the caption: “My flat mates. @colsonjsmith @freddieb1993”
Freddie added: “First full week in the new flat with these two. Been a blast ft. Makeup from the show tonight… @jackpshepherd88 @colsonjsmith #salfordquays #boysclub #threestoogies.”
Salford Quays is a trendy development in Manchester and – handily – just a stone’s throw from the ITV studios where Corrie is filmed.
Prior to moving into his new bachelor pad, Jack lived with his ex Lauren – mother of their two children – for 15 years.
The pair separated six months ago and – even though they’ve split numerous times before – sources have said they believe it’s over for good this time.
Since splitting with Lauren, Jack has been dating Hanni Treweek – who works behind the scenes of the ITV soap – and regularly posts pics of their romantic dates on Instagram.
Jack has recently signed a brand new £200,000 deal to continue play David Platt – something that will delight his legion of fans.
On-screen, Jack is at the centre of a plot that sees his character raped by his so-called new best pal Josh, after being drugged.
Josh recently arrived in Weatherfield and quickly established a friendship with the Street long-timer.
They assault leaves David battling with the shame and anger in secret.

So work may be pretty intense for Jack over the coming months but at least his home life looks like it will be a laugh.
