James Jordan has slammed this week’s Strictly Come Dancing as one of the “weakest” he has ever seen in the BBC show’s history.
The former pro, who left in 2014, said this week’s spooky theme had overshadowed the actual dancing.
Writing on Twitter, he shared: “I feel this week on Strictly the whole Halloween themed thing has overtaken the dancing.

“It’s been the weakest week I’ve seen on the show for many years.”
However, on a more positive note, he added: “Next week will be much better when back to normal. You watch!”

He also critiqued each performance and said Alex, who had to be partnered with Kevin Clifton at the last minute after Neil Jones injured himself, didn’t deserve getting such a huge score for her performance.
James wrote: “Not as good as last week but still a dance that suited her… Neil is a very clever boy with his choreography. Under the circumstances, I think she did well but still looks very awkward at times. When she goes back to Ballroom and Latin I think she’s in trouble.”

When it was revealed she scored 34 points from the judges, he bluntly responded in full-caps: “NEVER A 9 IN A MILLION YEARS!!! WTF.”
However, he scored former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher much higher, saying he deserved a nine for his performance with Oti Mabuse.
“Kelvin Last 2 performances have saved the night… Still went slightly ahead of the music at times where he got a little carried away but, I bloody loved it from beginning to end… he is so powerful. A couple of very small mistakes. Helps when u get a great track! Score nine.”
After weeks of smooth sailing, last night’s Strictly was blighted with two injuries. As well as Kevin having to step in for Neil, Paralympian Will Bayley suffered a terrible knee injury and was given a bye.
