Professional dancer James Jordan came under fire on Loose Women for joking about the size of his pregnant wife’s “bottom”.
On the programme today (19.09.19), James and his fellow former Strictly Come Dancing spouse Ola chatted with the panel about their IVF journey and getting pregnant after years of trying for a baby with no success.
‘It is really hard… I think mentally more than physically.’

Ola said, when she found out she was expecting: “I cried, I was over the moon. But the thing is, with IVF… because we couldn’t get pregnant for a long time, you don’t believe it. Is it okay? Is it normal? I waited for [James] to come home and give him the test, because I couldn’t actually tell him.”
At the end of the interview, host Andrea McLean asked her: “Ola, you’re 14 weeks now?”
The ballroom dancer replied: “I’m 16. I’m really big, I’m waddling round…”
As she started to show off the size of her belly, James cut in: “Let’s just hope it gets my looks.”
The joke drew a gasp from the panel but they pushed on, with Nadia telling Ola that she was probably feeling the changes in her body shape more than most because she’s a dancer.
Ola admitted: “It’s very strange, I’ve started to walk like this… legs apart. It’s weird.”
“Well, you look beautiful,” said Andrea, and as Ola thanked her, James said: “Her bottom looks pregnant as well…”
The comment drew an avalanche of awkward laughs and gasps from the panel and audience.
Andrea, a cross look on her face, pointed a finger at James and told him sternly: “You’re going to have to stop saying things like that. You’re going to have the wrath of the country on you.”

James Jordan was on Strictly Come Dancing from 2006 until 2013.
He brought his skills back to our screens earlier this year as a contestant on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, where he was partnered with professional skater Alexandra Schauman.
The pair ended up winning in the final, beating Love Island’s Wes Nelson and Scandinavian pop star Saara to the top spot.
