Jeff Brazier did not permit his two sons to watch the Channel 4 documentary series about their late mum Jade Goody.
TV presenter Jeff, 40, told a tabloid newspaper he doesn’t believe 16-year-old Bobby and Freddie, 14, are “quite ready” to deal with the more “adult themes” in the films.
Admitting the docs pose a “tricky” parental challenge, Jeff nonetheless noted he was not opposed to the content of the series and considered it to be “well made”.
The concerned dad explained to the Daily Star: “While they are coming to the end of their childhood, and they are able to take on board more adult themes, I don’t think they are quite ready to watch a large percentage of what was being shown.”

He added: “It’s not like they would find out so much more about Mum in a lovely or warm way.
“There are a lot of really adult themes there that they are probably not going to get their head around. They could find it upsetting.”
Jeff recently revealed he broke the terrible news to the young boys that their mum had died by telling them Jade was becoming a star.
He reportedly told Woman magazine: “I just remember we told them the whole time that mum was going to be a beautiful bright star in the sky, rising up to heaven and she was going to go and do a very important job.”

Jade passed away in 2009 from cervical cancer aged just 27.
Her public profile had been marred by a 2007 racial slur row with Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother that dominated the headlines before she was hit by the devastating illness.
Earlier this week viewers were outraged to see how the Big Brother star received her cancer diagnosis live on reality TV during her time on India’s Bigg Boss series.
It is believed the former dental nurse invited the cameras into her life until her very last days to help secure her sons’ futures.
