Jeremy Kyle shocked viewers when he tried to comfort an upset domestic violence victim with a plate of biscuits.
During Thursday’s show, Kayleigh opened up about being abused mentally and physically by her fiancé Austin.
Kayleigh’s sister Lisa and mum Maria came on the show to try and get her to leave Austin, who Lisa described as a “manipulative bully”.

Lisa revealed Kayleigh and Austin have had five children however, they have all been put into care.
Austin then came out on stage and denied he’s ever been abusive towards Kayleigh.
Jeremy then joined Kayleigh, her mum and Lisa backstage and Kayleigh broke down in tears.
Kayleigh claimed Austin had hit her just a few days ago and his behaviour meant all of their children had to be put into care.
She said: “He tells me when to go to bed, when to wake up, what to wear. When I had my daughter he threw all my books and punched me to pieces and I had to have an X-ray.”
Her mum told her: “Kayleigh, listen to me. I’ve been through this myself, get away from him before he kills you!”
Her mum also revealed a friend had told her that Austin’s plan was to get Kayleigh pregnant every year so she couldn’t get another boyfriend.
Kayleigh admitted she was too scared to leave Austin for fear of what he might do.
Jeremy then offered the trio a biscuit as he presented them with a plate of Jammie Dodgers, Wagon Wheels and Oreos.
He said: “Do you want a biscuit? I’ve got Wagon Wheels, Jammy Dodgers and Oreos.”

Kayleigh didn’t seem in the mood for a biscuit, but her mum didn’t hesitate and tucked in.
However, viewers watching from home weren’t impressed with Jeremy’s gesture.
One person said: “The last thing you want is a Jammie Dodger when your life is falling apart #jeremykyle.”
Another wrote: “Seriously. Domestic violence is a serious issue and Jerry’s going on about [expletive] biscuits? This is why this show shouldn’t be allowed to tackle issues like this. They don’t give a [expletive] about the victim.
A third tweeted: “Dry your eyes with a wagon wheel you will feel so much better #jeremykyle.”
Following the programme, the show’s official Twitter page told fans: “Kayleigh has moved back in with her mum and they are getting on as a family.
“Kayleigh and Austin are still in a relationship and Austin has agreed to help from the aftercare team.”
