Jeremy Kyle shocked TV audiences today when he threw shade at a TV rival, who is more than 20 years older than him.

Jeremy lashed out when a guest clearly touched a nerve about the two similar shows.

Strangest of all, perhaps, is that the outburst started over a bum tattoo!
During an episode which was typically bizarre, Geordie Ryan Porter showed off a tattoo of the host on his buttock – even though he isn’t a fan of the show!
Tattoo artist Jord Liddell explained to a bemused audience that he’d offered tattoos of the host as part of a competition, revealing: “I like tattooing your expressions.”
However, the conversation soon fell flat on its face – or bottom – when Ryan revealed he was planning to have a tattoo of rival presenter Jerry Springer inked on his other bum cheek like a “battle of the shows” – causing Jeremy to shudder in rage.
Turning to the camera, Jeremy ranted: “With the greatest of respect for a man that was the number one daytime talk show in America for 19 years… But he only lasted four weeks over here.”
In fact, The Jerry Springer Show ran for 27 years in the US from 1991 to 2018, starting when Jeremy was still a radio presenter.
However, Jeremy continued: “Jerry did 20 shows, that’s no competition is it? Just saying!”
Ouch, Jeremy, sour grapes much?
To add insult to injury, he went on to say: “I like Jerry Springer. He was very nice to me when I met him but I didn’t think much of his shoes.”
Er, salt… wound… Jezza?!
Jerry was the first of his kind to host such a hugely successful tabloid-esque talk show.
Jeremy started as a radio presenter, where his show Jezza’s Confessions was broadcast between 9pm and 1am, which eventually paved the way for TV’s The Jeremy Kyle Show, which started in July 2005.
In September 2007, Manchester judge Alan Berg described The Jeremy Kyle Show as trash which existed to “titillate bored members of the public with nothing better to do”.
He went on to say: “It seems to me that the purpose of this show is to effect a morbid and depressing display of dysfunctional people whose lives are in turmoil. It is human bear-baiting.”
