Yesterday’s episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show was pulled from the schedule, with ITV explaining it followed the death of a guest who appeared in the episode.
The network added that the daytime programme would be suspended indefinitely while an investigation is held.
Now the guest has been named as 62-year-old grandfather Steve Dymond.

He had gone on the show, filmed May 1, to prove that he had not been unfaithful to partner, Jane Callaghan.
Steve underwent a lie detector test which, to his shock, he failed.
He was reportedly left feeling humiliated and traumatised, despite the test not being 100% accurate in proving the truth.
Jane has told The Sun: “He kept texting me, leaving voicemails. In one text, he said, ‘I can’t live without you. I just wanted to come and see you. I just wanted to say sorry before I go. My life is not worth living without you’.”
Steve was found dead by his landlady 10 days after filming the show.
Those close to him believe he took his own life; it’s thought he died of an overdose of morphine prescribed for his arthritis.
Michael Bradley, a friend of the digger operator, from Gosport, Hants, alleged Steve had told his landlady he was feeling suicidal after the show.

He told Mirror Online: “He told her, ‘I’ve had enough, I’m going to kill myself.’ He failed the lie detector test but was adamant he hadn’t done anything wrong, saying: I’ll come up with flying colours, I’ve never cheated on her.’
“He got made out to be wrong but he wasn’t.”
Yesterday ITV said of the tragic incident: “Everyone is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show.
“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.
“ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this.”
