Jessie J shuts down Ben Shephard on This Morning when he asks about famous boyfriend

She wasn't going there!

When Ben Shephard mentioned Jessie J’s famous boyfriend on This Morning, she soon made him regret it.

Appearing on the show today (Friday July 26), Jessie had one topic in mind – The Voice Kids final which takes place this weekend.

So when host Ben asked a question about her A-list actor beau Channing Tatum, she made it clear she wasn’t going there.

Awks.

Jessie – a judge on The Voice Kids alongside will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones – joined Ben and co-host Jenni Falconer on the famous teal sofa alongside contestant Keira.

Nine-year-old Keira will represent Team Jessie in tomorrow night’s final (July 27), and they revealed their special duet track.

But when presenter Ben tried to ask about Magic Mike, a stage show and film Channing is famous for, Jessie was quick to freeze him out.

When Ben said: “That’s a performance that seems…”

The singer, 31, quickly cut him off, saying: “The opposite of The Voice Kids. Let’s stay focused on The Voice Kids.”

Anybody else feel a chill?

Jessie quickly changed the subject, saying she’s loved “every moment of working on The Voice Kids”.

The cringeworthy encounter didn’t escape the notice of the viewers, with one tweeting: “How awkward was Jessie J when they mentioned Magic Mike?”

Another said: “Good for Jessie J for bringing it back to the Voice Kids and not talking about her love life on This Morning.”

A third added: “Absolutely love that Jessie J refuses to let interviews (latest being This Morning) go down any route that detracts from her real achievements and accomplishments, and not the ‘achievement’ of who she is dating. An independent woman who is not being defined by a man.”

However, one fan believed Jessie was in the wrong, typing: “Jessie J should have answered those questions about Magic Mike. She puts her relationship online therefore people are bound to ask questions! #ThisMorning.”

Jessie and Channing are thought to have been dating since October 2018.

The Price Tag singer recently opened up about her fertility battle, admitting she still hopes to have a child, despite being told she will never conceive naturally.

She told Metro.co.uk that she isn’t giving up on her dreams of becoming a mum and is hoping for a miracle.

She said: “I still believe in miracles. As women know, it sometimes doesn’t just happen, it’s a process. The reason I spoke about it before wasn’t for sympathy and it still isn’t. It’s to be open about it.”
