Dancing On Ice: Joe Swash brings his eldest son to work as he takes to the rink

He'll be on the new series

TV’s Joe Swash has delighted fans with a photo of his eldest son as he takes to the rink ahead of the new series of Dancing On Ice.

The former I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp host, 37, posted a snap on Instagram that showed him beaming alongside Harry, 12, and told followers he was preparing to show off his “skills” on the ice.

He captioned the pic: “Taking my big boy @harryswash to work today going to show him my skills on the ice ice baby!”

But a number of Joe’s fans poked fun at him in the comments, with one writing: “Don’t you mean you’re going to show him how to fall flat on your face? Lol.”

Going to show him my skills on the ice ice baby!

Another said: “Good luck mate, don’t fall on your [bleep]!”

And Love Island star Maura Higgins, who is also among the celebrity line-up, quipped, “Skills? I’m confused” with a crying-laughing emoji.

Others rushed to tell the dad-of-two they couldn’t wait to see him on the programme, which returns to screens in the new year.

Someone commented: “Ahhhh Dancing On Ice for you this year… may actually want to watch it this year now.”

Joe’s involvement in the new series was confirmed last month.

The news was revealed on daytime chat show Loose Women, when Joe came skating into the studio holding onto a polar bear aid.

The former soap star told the panel: “I can’t even dance on a dance floor so Dancing On Ice is just a silly idea.”

When informed that he will have to pick up his female professional dancing partner and spin her around, Joe said: “It’s been a while since I picked a woman up.

“I’ve done no exercise since the baby was born. Stacey [Solomon] thinks it’s funny. I’m going to learn how to skate and I’ll do it with a smile on my face.”
