John Whaite has been forced to skip training as he battles a painful injury days before the Strictly Come Dancing quarter-finals.
The baker is set to perform a Salsa with professional partner Johannes Radebe this weekend.
However, the week has got off to a particularly painful start for John.
John Whaite skips Strictly training
Taking to Instagram yesterday (November 30), John updated fans on his current injury.
The Strictly star shared a snap as he made his way home from training.
Alongside the image, John said: “Going home to rest. My hip flexors are in so much pain and the physio has recommended a day of rest.
My hip flexors are in so much pain
“I’ll watch Christmas films all day and eat Haribo.”
John is yet to confirm whether he is attending training today.
It comes after the star was seen to by a physiotherapist over the weekend.
John explained that his physio, Jen, had been called in to help with his “knackered hips”.
He wrote online: “This gal @jen_nash_ performed SO MUCH physio on me over the weekend because all those lunges and lifting Jo has knackered my hips. THANK YOU, JEN.”
Jen quickly replied to his thanks, saying: “You are SO welcome @john_whaite. You smashed it. Good luck this week!”

John and Johannes sent Strictly fans into a frenzy with their steamy Argentine Tango on Saturday night.
The pair went on to score an impressive 39 points.
Following the routine, Johannes shared: “It fills me with pride and joy but that’s because John works and he’s a perfectionist and I love it!”

The dancing duo will perform a Salsa to Sister Sledge classic ‘We Are Family’.
The show announced the news on Twitter yesterday, saying: “Five couples, five fabulous routines.”
And fans were thrilled over John and Johannes’ upcoming routine.

Taking to the comments, one said: “I’m excited for both salsas from John & AJ OMG! ”
Another added: “Oooh can’t wait for John and Johannes’ Salsa and AJ and Kai’s Salsa!”
