Kanye West and Kim Kardashian get behind Coronation Street’s Anna Windass campaign

Well fancy that!

We knew that Coronation Street’s Free Anna Windass Now campaign – aka FAWN – would have a lot of supporters.

Anna was sent to prison earlier this year after being framed by notorious cobbles villain Pat Phelan.

And now Pat’s been unmasked as a murderer, the Corrie residents have been calling for Anna’s release.

Her friends on the Street are supporting her and even Eileen Grimshaw offered her support in a televised interview earlier this week.

But what we didn’t expect to see was Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West supporting the cause.

The official Corrie Twitter account shared a pic of the famous couple proudly donning their FAWN t-shirts, along with the caption: “Everyone is getting on board with #FAWN”

Of course the tees Kim and Kanye are wearing aren’t anything to do with Anna Windass sadly, but it’s still pretty funny.

Corrie fans are hoping that Phelan being uncovered as a murderer will lead to Anna – played by Debbie Rush – being released in the near future.

They’ve taken to Twitter to show their support for FAWN.

Anna is currently serving five years for GBH thanks to Phelan’s lies in the witness stand.

But as next week approaches, Coronation Street residents are becoming increasingly concerned about the lack of news on her release.

But fear not – because Daniel Osbourne has a plan. He sets up a press campaign to get Anna freed – but will it work?

Daniel thinks that getting everyone behind Anna’s bid for freedom could speed things up a bit – and one of the first residents to back there campaign is Nicola Rubinstein, Phelan’s own daughter!

Will Daniel’s hard work to get Anna out of prison actually work?

Corrie bosses have yet to confirm if Debbie Rush, who plays wronged Anna, will be returning to the cobbles any time soon. But that doesn’t mean we can’t keep our fingers crossed.
