ITV presenter Kate Garraway was caught using her phone by co-host Richard Madeley live on GMB today (Monday August 12).
A flustered Kate, 57, batted away taunts from her telly colleagues as she was teased for being on her mobile.
She also explained she was distracted by a “home crisis” involving her children.
Kate, who lost husband Derek Draper earlier this year following his lengthy battle with Covid, is mum to daughter Darcey, 18, and son Billy, 14.

The moment Richard revealed Kate had been making use of her mobile came as the programme returned from a break, around a quarter to eight this morning.
“She was on her phone,” Richard squawked to viewers, as if telling the teacher.
“I was on my phone,” Kate admitted as Richard and entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold chuckled away.
However, Kate protested she had a valid reason to have her phone out.
Kate Garraway ‘home crisis’ with children
“I was just dealing with a little home crisis,” she said playfully, tapping her fingers together.
“We saw,” Richard boomed mock-accusingly.
You know – kids getting up to no good.
Kate added: “You know – kids getting up to no good.”
Thankfully, however, it doesn’t seem as if Kate was facing too serious a situation regarding her kids.
She indicated either Darcey or Billy were trying to locate something. And that set Richard off, who made a comparison to messages from his own mother – with her false teeth being a recent subject of conversation between the two.
A few weeks ago, Kate faced further family heartache after her father was admitted to hospital.
He reportedly collapsed as Kate and relatives holidayed in Cornwall.
