Kate Silverton and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec have lost their place in the Strictly Come Dancing competition.
The newsreader and her pro dance partner lost out to Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse in week nine.
Both celebrities had given their all to their performances at Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday.
Kate and Aljaz performed their American smooth to Everlasting Love by Love Affair again, while Graeme and Oti repeated their theatre and jazz routine to The Trolley Song from the film Meet Me In St Louis.
Following the dance-off, the four judges unanimously chose to save former cricketer Graeme.
When the couples were announced for the dance-off, the celebs took it in their stride; Kate was grateful for the chance to dance at Blackpool again, especially for her kids.
Sadly, it was to be the end of her journey though.
She told Aljaz: “As your student I couldn’t be more grateful it’s been a magical experience.
“We enjoyed our training days probably more than even the Saturdays sometimes.
“We’ve had fun and I’ve been learning new skills.
“Aljaz is one of life’s more special people and we’ve become such good friends.
“It has been a journey without trying to sound like a cliche. It’s been brilliant to be part of.
“I knew I’d enjoy it. I don’t normally make decisions based on anything other than joy.
“I hoped it would be joyful and gleeful and it was.”
Many viewers were sad to see them go…
Kate and Aljaz are what #Strictly should be all about. A pro teaching a novice to dance and letting us see improvement every week. #gutted

Ditto. I only watch #Strictly for people like Kate. Her journey has been amazing. I’m certainly inspired to take up dancing because of Kate.
