Katya Jones has impressed fans of Strictly Come Dancing with a bold new hairstyle that never quite made it to TV screens.
The Russian pro, 30, shared a snap of herself on Instagram with her hair dyed bright orange, but unfortunately the eye-catching do was changed before the live show.

In the photo, shared on Tuesday (05.11.19), Kayta poses for the camera with her hands under her face and her eyes locked admiringly on contestant Michelle Visage, who stands straight faced with her hands gripping her lapels.
Katya wrote in the caption: “I absolutely adore this photo with @michellevisage!
“I feel like it represents the two sides of women – strength and cuteness. We can be either, when it’s most beneficial for us.
“P.s. orange hair didn’t make it to the live show. But what do we think?”
Safe to say, her fans thought it looked fantastic.

On Saturday’s show, Katya and her celebrity partner, BBC Breakfast‘s Mike Bushell, danced the Charlston to Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines, as their routine saw them gallivanting around a pair of hot air balloons.
Their main show performance received a very respectable 30 points from the judges but they nevertheless ended up in the dance-off alongside Viscountess Emma Weymouth and pro Aljaz Skorjanec, who scored 26 from the judges with their Samba.
After they danced again, fans were shocked when Emma and Aljaz were unanimously voted off – even though viewers spotted mistakes in Mike and Katya’s dance.
And it wasn’t long before fans took to Twitter to express their fury at the result.

The reaction to Mike’s position on the competition has been so strong that Katya even had to quit social media for a time, to get away from all the horrible comments.
Explaining her decision to step back from her digital platforms, Katya told The Sun on Sunday: “I’m off social media; it’s not real. For me, it’s real what we’re doing with our dancing and performance. There’s no need for negatives. I just want to do my own thing.”
