Kelvin Fletcher is still being lined up to appear on Dancing on Ice, according to reports.
The former Emmerdale star, 35, is currently wowing audiences on Strictly Come Dancing with his professional partner Oti Mabuse – but bosses at ITV haven’t given up on getting him to appear on their rival show.

According to The Sun Online, bosses at DOI are hoping Kelvin will consider joining the ice skating show “potentially the series after next” after initially being set to join the programme for the next series due to air in early 2020.
An insider said: “The door is still being left open for Kelvin to return to DOI. He had been agonising for ages whether to take up the Strictly opportunity after being so far in advanced stages of talks with DOI. But they still want him on the show for potentially the series after next.”
Before joining the BBC1 dance show, Kelvin – who portrayed Andy Sugden in Emmerdale between 1996 and 2016 – was in talks to join DOI after he impressed show bosses with his ice skating videos on Instagram.

Stars confirmed for the next series include Love Island’s Maura Higgins, game show host Michael Barrymore, retired Everton footballer Kevin Kilbane, newsreader Lucrezia Millarini, Coronation Street actress Lisa George and former EastEnders actor Joe Swash among others.
Appearing on The One Show this week, Kelvin revealed he hadn’t been Jamie Laing’s replacement as previously thought.
Joining Matt Baker and Angellica Bell yesterday evening (October 17), Kelvin revealed: “I wasn’t even a replacement, I didn’t even make that list!
“I met with the Strictly guys before, you know it’s been huge, like many people, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for so many years.
“For various reasons it never quite worked out. I very much thought that that opportunity had gone when I saw the cast line up.”
This Saturday (October 19), Kelvin and Oti will perform the Cha Cha to Aston Merrygold’s Get Stupid.
