Linda Robson jokes William & Kate copied her baby name Louis

Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge was born on Monday

Linda Robson has joked The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge phoned her to ask permission to use her baby name, Louis.

The Birds of a Feather actress was tickled to learn William and Kate had chosen the name Louis for their new son, who was born on Monday.

Linda, 60, has a 26-year-old son called Louis.

She joked on Friday’s Loose Women: “Kate and Wills rang me and asked if it was alright for them to call the baby Louis after my son.

“I spoke to them this morning and said I had no problem with it whatsoever, so he’s now been called Louis Arthur Charles.”

Er, sure!

Andrea McLean said Louis is a “lovely” name – but Linda then pointed out her own Louis had a rather unfortunate nickname in the early years.

“My Louis was known as pooey Louis for the first few years of his life!” joked Linda.

Andrea replied: “It doesn’t matter if he’s royal, I’m sure he’s known as pooey Louis as well.”

Lovely…

William, 35, and Kate, 36, became parents for the third time on Monday, when Prince Louis arrived at 11.01am.

Kate gave birth at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, the same place where Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, were born.

The couple made royal fans wait five days for the tot’s name.

Finally, a statement released by Kensington Palace on Friday morning read: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles.

“The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”

Louis is one of Prince William’s middle names. It’s also the middle name of Prince George and was the name of Prince Philip’s uncle, Louis Mountbatten.

Charles is, of course, a nod to William’s own father, Prince Charles, and his uncle, Charles Spencer, the brother of the late Princess Diana.

Arthur, meanwhile, is also one of William’s middle names, and was the middle name of the Queen’s father, King George VI.

While William returned to official duties on Wednesday, it’s expected Kate will remain out of the public eye until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19.

It’s thought George and Charlotte will serve as page boy and flower girl, but that’s yet to be confirmed by the palace.

Some royal experts have predicted Louis will be kept away from the cameras due to his young age, so the public may not get another glimpse of him just yet.

Prince Harry announced on Thursday that he’s asked William to be his best man, as expected.
