If there’s one thing that’s guaranteed to get a mum’s back up, it’s telling her how best to bring up her kids.
After Tamara Ecclestone appeared on Lorraine this morning, some viewers seemed less than impressed by a comment the Scottish presenter made.
Tamara has her own ITV reality show, Tamara’s World, which follows her day-to-day life with husband Jay Rutland and their three-year-old daughter Sophia.
And the daughter of former F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone has been open about her advocacy for ‘attachment parenting’ – a method that promotes maximal closeness between mother and baby.
But Lorraine Kelly appeared to have a different opinion on the subject.
After Tamara revealed that she’d been “heartbroken” when Sophia started nursery, the 58-year-old presenter – who has a teenage daughter, Rosie – advised: “‘You have to let them go, bring your daughters up to be strong and independent.”

Socialite Tamara, 33, laughed in agreement with Lorraine, but later shared a quote on her Instagram page which led some fans to wonder if she was a bit miffed.
The quote read: “Women should empower each other instead of being so hateful & envious of one another.”
Although Tamara did not specify who or what the quote was directed at, many of her 337,000 followers agreed with the sentiment, filling her inbox with messages of support – and some expressed annoyance towards Lorraine.
One fan wrote: “I’m still in shock at the ‘let go’ comment. Her child is only three.”
Another opined: “You held your head high and you showed your dignity. Well done xxxx.”
And a third fumed: “You do what you want to do – you clearly have a heart of gold and are a nice person.”
A fourth said: “Her comment about letting them go- so rude. When will we stop judging others!!”
However, if Tamara HAD been put out by the presenter’s comments when she sent her Instagram post, she appeared to have put it all behind her later when she sent another thanking Lorraine for the interview and calling it a “pleasure”.

Last month, Tamara was labelled a “spoilt brat” after a Loose Women appearance in which she spoke about her 57-room mansion and 50 staff.
But the ITV show itself bore the brunt of that particular backlash, as it scheduled her interview immediately after the panellists had been discussing financial hardship.
One disgruntled viewer tweeted: “They were literally just talking about young people not being able to afford a house, and then bring on a spoilt little rich girl bragging about her massive mansion?”
And another scathed: “Disgusting to hear Tamara Ecclestone talk about her huge house (w/ staff) considering they were just discussing the fact that so many people will never be able to afford their own home.”
Tamara, however, defended her lifestyle by saying: “It’s a big house and I do have a lot of people helping me. It might seem extreme to some people but it’s my life and I would never judge how other people live.”
