Lorraine Kelly brought her new Border Terrier Angus onto her ITV chat show this morning, as he’s heading off to puppy school.
And the cute pet will probably benefit from a few lessons in etiquette, as he was responsible for a rather unfortunate mishap during his short time in the studio.
Rather embarrassingly for the Scottish presenter, he did his business all over the carpet!
Lorraine, 58, was joined in the segment by dog trainer Steve Mann, and he wasted no time in telling viewers what had happened.
Looking down at Angus, who was sat under the table, he chuckled: “We won’t talk about what he just did.”
The red-faced host muttered: “No, let’s just gloss over that.”
But Steve didn’t let it lie, and continued: “You’ll have to pick that up.”

“Which I just did, it’s fine,” remarked Lorraine, before quickly moving on with the conversation.
They then discussed Angus’s progress, while the camera followed the errant pup as he explored every corner of the studio.
This week, the Labrador was announced as the nation’s favourite canine breed following a survey – but for Lorraine, the Border Collie will always be top dog.
She wrote in her column for the Sunday Post: “We have a new member of our family in the shape of Angus, a cute Border Terrier pup, my best ever Christmas present.
“It’s three years since we lost our beloved Rocky, and we always wanted another Border, as they’re such clever, funny and loyal dogs, with loads of personality. They’re brilliant with children and they need lots of walks, which I love.

“Angus is a bit of a handful at the moment and thinks I’m a chew toy, but with a bit of patience he will soon be perfectly trained.”
Well, judging by today’s episode, that time hasn’t quite arrived yet!
