Casting agents are currently sifting through the thousands of applications they’ve received for the much-anticipated new series of Love Island.
And according to The Sun, they’ve implemented one rule to ensure the show is made up of fresh faces – no previous reality TV stars allowed.
The paper reports that applicants who have previously been on telly won’t be considered to avoid the line-up being “a cocktail of has-beens”.
Their source said: “Producers want to ensure that their chosen singletons are genuinely looking for love rather than fame and haven’t appeared on any other reality shows before.
“Even Celebs Go Dating extras, who have appeared as dates for the celebrities are being ruled out.”
People who have previously appeared in shows such as Made In Chelsea, TOWIE, Ex On The Beach and The Valleys are said to be among the 100k applications ITV2 have received for the fourth series.
A spokesman for ITV said: “Anyone is welcome to apply – the only stipulation is that applicants are over 18 and single.”
But The Sun say their “strictly new faces-only policy” will help them whittle the numbers down.

Last year, the hit show made stars of Kem Cetinay, Amber Davies, Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood.
Their success has apparently led to previous reality TV stars applying to try to boost their careers – but it seems ITV2 are keen to promote new faces.
The last series was a ratings winner and today it was revealed it has been nominated for two BAFTA TV Awards.
It will go up against Celebrity Hunted, Old People’s Home For Four-Year-Olds and The Real Full Monty in the reality and constructed factual category.
It’s also in line for Virgin TV’s Must See Moment for the time when Stormzy made a surprise appearance.
The show has already won a Royal Television Society Award and a TRIC (The Television & Radio Industries Club) Award for best reality TV series.
Presenter Caroline Flack has shared her delight in the show’s success by posting pictures of her posing with the awards, while today she expressed her excitement over the Bafta nominations.
She’s also sent fans wild by teasing the new series which will start in June. Yesterday, she posted a picture of herself working on the promo writing: “Exciting PROMO WEEK ahead. How has it been a year???? Where does time go???”
Excited replies from her fans included one who said: “Omg love island promo. I can hear that advert coming,” and another who said: “Geeeet Innn! Almost Love Island time!”

Others said they couldn’t wait and shared the news with their friends to alert them to Love Island’s return.
