Love Island viewers brand show a ‘fix’ after brutal vote off last night

Last night's instalment has got them all talking!

Controversy descended on Love Island last night as the contestants faced eviction.

In a surprise move, the housemates themselves were tasked with choosing who should leave the ITV2 show.

Following a tense, extended episode, Arabella Chi and Tom Walker found themselves departing the villa, while Lucie Donlan was saved again – despite having been single since Joe Garratt left.

And viewers are FUMING about the decision, with some labelling the decision a “fix”.

Presenter Caroline Flack had shared a video on Instagram earlier in the day, teasing that it was going to be a “huge show”.

And she wasn’t lying. The 39-year-old made a shock visit to the villa to break the news that evictions would be done differently this time around.

She explained that, following the public vote on Wednesday, Molly-Mae and Tommy, Michael and Amber, and Anton and Lucie, were the top three favourite couples.

There then came a twist – the girls were grouped together to choose a boy for eviction, while the boys had to send one of the girls home.

In tense scenes, Arabella and Tom were the unlucky pair to head home, while incredibly, Lucie avoided the boot despite not being partnered up with anyone.

And the outcome left a sour taste in viewers’ mouths, with some taking to Twitter to vent their frustration.

One wrote: “#LoveIsland starting to think it’s a fix!! Why is Lucy [sic] still getting kept in when she’s not in a couple?”

Another raged: “Hold up Lucie and Anton ain’t even a couple. I smell fix.”

And a third said: “Anton and Lucie? This is a clear fix.”

Others were pleased Anton and Lucie went through.
