It was the show that took over last summer, with millions of us making sure we were home by 9pm to see its stars prance around in bikinis and fall in love.
And 2018’s edition of Love Island looks set to be even bigger and better if initial interest in entering the villa is anything to go by.
According to The Sun, the Love Island team received 60,000 applications – all in the first TWELVE hours!
That number has now climbed to 150,000, with more pouring in.
A source told The Sun: “Planning for this year’s Love Island is well underway and producers already have some big plans up their sleeves.

“Given just how massively popular the show became last year they’re desperate to make sure the next series really kicks off with a bang.
“They’re planning on the season opener beginning with two big villas – just like they introduced midway through last series.
“And they want to throw in nearly double the amount of contestants to really stir things up.
“Planning is still in the early stages but what is for sure is that it’s going to be bigger than ever.”

Caroline Flack will be returning as host of the show, and she summed up the show’s mass appeal in The Daily Star on Sunday, saying: “Everyone wants to be in love.
“Secondly, you get to be on holiday for nine weeks.
“Third, you get to get a good tan. And fourth, you get to have fun!”
So if you’re looking to find love this summer, there’s still time to sign up!
