Love Island SPOILER: Laura questions Wes romance after bombshell confession

Are things moving too fast for Laura?

Love Island’s Laura Anderson appears to be having second thoughts about her blossoming romance with Wes Nelson.

The 29-year-old starts to question their relationship on Thursday night after Wes, 20, admits he’s falling for her less than two weeks since they first met.

They’ve been coupled up since day one and just yesterday jokingly chatted about moving in together and a future family.

But in reality, perhaps things are moving too fast for Laura…

She says: “He said to me ‘I think I’m falling for you’ and I was just like ‘don’t say that to me. Don’t sit there and say you’re falling for me. You’re not falling for me. It’s been a week!’

“I don’t like it. He doesn’t even know what love is. He’s never been in love before.”

Laura admits it’s flattering that Wes clearly likes her but she’s concerned the L-word could be next and it’s just too soon.

“I know he didn’t say love but for me it was similar,” she says. “Maybe a miscommunication. But I really just want to be on the same page. I don’t want him being like, ‘Oh my god, I’m falling in love with Laura’.”

Laura decides she’ll have to ask Wes directly what his intentions are and he’s quick to tell her he really does see a future with her.

Wes argues: “I’m just saying, I can see the start of it. If there was going to be a start it would be now. I’ve never felt this after a week so if I was ever going to say the L-word, this would be the start.”

He also privately admits in the Beach Hut he’s “shocked” by how fast his feelings for Laura have developed, adding: “It’s quite scary.”

The design engineer says he knows he should probably keep his options open but he “literally has tunnel vision on Laura at the moment” and she’s the only person he wants.

But does Laura feel the same way?

Meanwhile, the islanders are faced with a shock tonight when they’re told to vote for the couples they think are the least compatible.

The couple with the most votes will be at risk of dumping!

Love Island continues 9pm on ITV2.
